Wow—what an incredible experience! When I first started the Kindness Challenge, I hoped we could make a small difference for the children at Children’s Health – Plano, but I never imagined just how much kindness we would spread. Thanks to the generosity of so many amazing people, we not only reached our goal—we exceeded it!
Together, we collected $2,225 worth of toys and necessities for children facing medical challenges. That means hundreds of kids will receive a little extra comfort and joy during a difficult time. Knowing that our community came together to help brighten their days is truly the most amazing feeling.
This effort would not have been possible without the incredible support from Trent Middle School and Newman Elementary. I am so grateful to Principal Guelker at Trent and Principal Gilbert at Newman for believing in this mission and rallying their students to take part. Students from both schools not only helped collect donations but also worked hard to organize, document, and personally deliver them to the hospital. Watching so many people come together with a shared goal of spreading kindness was truly inspiring.
I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated, helped, and supported this challenge. Your kindness made an impact far beyond what we could have imagined, and I know that the children receiving these gifts will feel the love behind every single item.
This is just the beginning of the Kind Hearts Project, and I can’t wait to continue finding new ways to make a difference. If you’re looking for a sign to do something kind today—this is it! Even the smallest act of kindness can change someone’s day. Let’s keep spreading kindness together!
With gratitude,
Alyssa Kaplan
