Hi, everyone! My name is Alyssa, and I’m 12 years old. I live with a condition called Chiari Malformation, which affects the brain and spine. While I’m lucky that it hasn’t stopped me from doing the things I love, like cheerleading, there are some days that are harder than others. Chronic headaches and moments of feeling different can be tough, but I’ve been blessed with amazing family and friends who always lift me up.
It’s those small, thoughtful gestures—like a friend checking in on me or a simple word of encouragement—that have taught me how powerful kindness can be. Sometimes, just knowing someone cares can completely turn your day around. That’s why I decided to start The Kind Hearts Project.
I created this platform to inspire others to lead with kindness and compassion. Everyone faces struggles, and often those struggles are invisible to the world. A smile, a kind word, or even just being there for someone can make such a difference. It’s my goal to show how easy it is to spread kindness and to encourage others to make it part of their daily lives.
Through The Kind Hearts Project, I hope to work with schools, communities, and organizations to promote kindness initiatives and bring people together. My dream is to create a ripple effect of positivity—where acts of kindness inspire even more kindness.
If I’ve learned one thing, it’s that you’re never too young to make a difference. Whether it’s helping a friend, volunteering in your community, or simply choosing to be kind every day, you have the power to brighten someone’s life.
Thank you for being part of my journey, and I hope you’ll join me in spreading kindness wherever you go!
With love,
Alyssa
